Nessur's Eye

Nessur's Eye, or colloquially the Basin, is the central lake of Syoll. It is ring-shaped, and in its center lies the island of Ellion Dula. A great deal of rivers flow into the Basin from the Neverending Mountains in the east while in the south, rivers like the Jade Stream or the Serpent River flow through Colliennach or Farmer's Triumph intoThe Great Forest.   Nessur's Eye serves as a quick and efficient route for transport between the Aspects. Along its coast lie many port towns of various sizes, as well as smaller fishing villages and hamlets. One of the most important trade routes from Nessur’s Eye is the Titan’s Lake, where goods are transported to and from Miennach. Since there is no airship dock in Miennach, the water is still the fastest and most reliable trade route.   Along the coast of the Basin lies the Lake Road, a wide, paved road that connects all of the Aspects, with the exception of Ellion Dula. This exists also as a trade route, mainly for those travelling shorter distances.   The lake itself does not belong to any Aspect, in fact, it is not officially owned by Syoll and is therefore excluded from its jurisdiction. Many islands and archipelagoes on the lake also do not belong to Syoll, and are often referred to—as a collective—as the “Independent Island Nations”.
