History
The earliest manifestation of the Concord Committee was established in 3740 APC just nine years after the Healing Concord began. Prior to that, Jain Carmello had taken responsibility for all the administration of his relatively small group, but as the number of healers began to grow it was necessary to find a way of sharing the load of running the organisation. To begin with, the Committee consisted of only five members and there were little more than ten times as many in the Concord as a whole.
In 4404 APC, the first direct elections began and the rules were changed again in 5211 APC to bring in direct appointments from institutions.
After the disruption caused by the Melancholia and the loss of the important Ralsimoor site where the Healing Concord had been founded, the size of the Committee actually shrank and did not return to its former strength until deep into the age of the Sacred Coven.
It reached its current size in 6488 APC, reflecting the tripartite division of power in our current age, and shortly after this, the current Concord Committee Room (CCR) shown in the image at the head of the article was constructed at the site of the Jebbin City headquarters.
