Taron Silentstep

Title, Name, Descriptive Name & Rank

Taron Silentstep is the captain of the skiptic Löpenskold team “Skipti's Ice Bears.” He received the name “Silentstep” because he usually stays in the background and only steps forward when necessary or appropriate.  

Age

Taron is 23 years old.  

Appearance / Physical Condition

As a Löpenskold player, he is physically fit all around. There’s not a gram of fat on him, yet he’s not muscular either. “Wiry” and “agile” are more fitting terms to describe him. He is quite tall and stands out in a crowd by about half a head above most others. For the sport, he wears his light brown hair short and goes clean-shaven. However, during the off-season, when only training takes place, he lets both grow. His eyes are alert, and his facial features have something noble about them. Many admire him as one of the most attractive players in the league.  

Background

Taron originally comes from Galdra, where he grew up and received magical training. He initially played for the youth team of the Blitze before being recruited by the Ice Bears. He has played for Skipti since 2518 and has been the team captain since 2520. Taron is considered highly intelligent and could have pursued a career as a rune mage in Galdra – but the sport challenged him more.  

Drive & Goals

Taron does not pursue any specific goal. He lives in the moment and rarely wastes thoughts on the future. Of course, he wants his team to win the championship, but he has no personal, long-term ambitions. For him, staying healthy and physically fit is what matters most – and he pays close attention to that. He gladly takes on the problems of others. Almost all his teammates confide their worries to him, and he listens. If he can help, he does. He stands up for his team members and protects them when necessary.  

Family & Friends

As a star player, he has many “friends,” but he knows that half of them aren’t genuine. He considers his team his closest circle of friends and tends not to form bonds outside of it. This is also because he often takes on the problems of strangers – which can be emotionally taxing. His family lives in Galdra. His mother is a respected animal tamer, his father a diplomat who mediates between conflicting parties. He has no siblings.  

Contacts

If he wanted to, he could build many contacts – but Taron has no interest in that. This regularly drives the Ice Bears’ organizer to the brink of madness. Taron does not engage in fleeting relationships. If he wants to get to know someone, it’s properly – as a friend, not as a sponsor or status symbol.  

Profession

Taron is the captain of the Skipti Ice Bears, one of the most successful teams in the Löpenskold game. He is a multi-talent and is mostly used as a runner, but he also knows how to use his strength effectively as a defender. Additionally, he is a precise thrower – a true exceptional talent in this sport.  

Location

At the Skipti clubhouse, players of the first and second teams have their own quarters. During the off-season, the Ice Bears retreat to a training camp near the Ismurna and the west coast. This camp serves to recover from the stress of the season – and of course, for training.  

Reputation

Taron’s reputation is impeccable. No affairs, no unfair play tactics or scandals. In fact, he is rather inconspicuous and stays in the background – apart from his status as a star player of the Ice Bears.
