Jax Sebastian Meriweather
Jax Meriweather, the younger brother of Joe Valeski by roughly three years, is a normal, innocent, intelligent young boy. On his brother's 13th birthday, while Joe himself was out having a fun-filled afternoon with Lewis Edwards and Mr. Edwards, Jax and his parents were attacked by a Lord of Death. Upon Joe and the Edwards' return to the Meriweathers' home, both Mr. and Mrs. Meriweather were found unconscious, setting the stage for Joe's first encounter with the Lords of Death. However, Jax Meriweather was nowhere to be found. Whether this is because he successfully eluded the Lord when he was told to run by his parents or not is, as of yet, unknown.
In In the Shadows of Gods, Jax's direct impact is limited to the first chapter. After that point, his fate becomes unclear as his brother begins to explore the Technoverse for himself. However, Jax does still have an indirect impact on Joe, as part of Joe's motivation for defeating the Lord is to find Jax's whereabouts. Though Joe initially asks Mr. Edwards to look for Jax, it becomes clear to him that no one in the Technoverse will help him seek answers for the death of his parents and disappearance of his brother, and, though there is no evidence that Jax is in fact alive or dead, Joe embarks on a quest to defeat the Lord of Death despite his obvious shortcomings and flaws. It is one of Joe's great hopes to find and rescue Jax from whatever predicament he may currently be in.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
That of an average 10-year old Thyrian, which is equivalent to about a 12-year old Human's physical capability.
Special abilities
Is able to control and shape the Thunderstorm as a result of his Thyrian heritage. However, since he has not yet experienced the initial Surge of his powers, these abilities remain locked to him.

Up to fourth grade education at the local Human elementary school.
Intellectual Characteristics
Seems to be less mathematically- and logically-driven, and more emotionally-driven, with abstract thought and creation a particular strength. Possesses an impressive imagination, even for a young boy of his age.

Has not yet reached the stage of his life when he must give these things significant thought yet, but does believe in trying to help everyone he can in the same way that his brother, Joe Valeski, does. He loves his family and believes they are the most important thing to protect in his life.

As father of Jax Meriweather, Will Meriweather plays an important part in Jax's life, guiding him and trying to get him to follow the model set for him by Jax's older brother, Joe Valeski . Though Will believes Jax to be a little bit less mature and developed than Joe was at his age, he still loves Jax just as much, and Jax loves Mr. Meriweather just as much back.
