History

Setting out from different parts of the Torendal Valley, the adventurers that would come to be known as the Seekers converged on their respective ways to Fjelldal on the 26th of Gormanord. Gulmun, having set out from Authiaire, met up with the traveling pair of elves: Zinvyere and Cyran. Gulmun having been summoned to the town by the Lawbearer; Zinvyere and Cyran at the decree of Gatriel the Solar. Along their way, the trio were joined by the Psonorous, Bright Star: who stated that he had been prompted to join with this group, and that, with their help, he would be able to fulfill his call to recover the blade Sanctity's Fire. The group would gain one more on the road with the addition of the gnome, Farro: who said that he had been thrown out of his forest and was looking for new people to join with. The group accepted the additional arm and carried onto Fjelldal. It was there that the group would gain its sixth member: Ion, one of the town guard. This would constitute the original group that would come to organize the Seekers of the Golden Grain. For a more complete history of the Seekers and their adventures, read The Full & Extended History of the Seekers of the Golden Grain, by Dreezus Kodak the Faun. But in short, this group agreed to free the town from the clutches of the Cult of Hokajin. In addition to wealth, the town's Golden Grain Inn would be offered as a reward for their success. The party would lose the lives of their members Farro and Zinvyere in this quest, and recover the prisoners Leo and Tormund who would join them on their adventures going forward. This group would defeat Hokajin and his cult, and would first become acquainted to the forces of Tordenkrone, the Vassal-Governor. Ezra and his clutch would interject themselves between the group and their prize: The Golden Grain.
The group would then begin to assist Bright Star on his quest and came to Authiaire on their way out West. It was here the group was introduced to the idea of "the Lawbearer", the Balor, Saorsa'bhao, posing himself as the Goddess in order to subjugate the city. The party set out West, and came to the Ashlands. Navigating the treacherous terrain, they ascended the tower of the Lord of the Ashlands and, having come to an agreement with the Lord, obtained Sanctity's Fire. This would bestow the title of Bladebearer upon Bright Star, as well as affirming him as being the Champion of the Everlight. The party returned to Authiaire, met Gerwas, and began their way to the Crimson Sands. Stopping in Fjelldal by the way, had another encounter with Ezra's Clutch and continued South. It was in the Dellendal Canyon that the group were beset upon by an Efreet and his cyclops minions. An angel of the Everlight appeared and prompted Bright Star to spare the remaining minion, which he did. Gulmun then having gained access to the wish spell, wished for the return of his son, Dusag. It was then that the true Lawbearer appeared to Gulmun, announcing that the figure in Authiaire was an imposter and that Gulmun was to be Her Champion. Gulmun accepted.
The party began their trek across the Sands and arrived in the hometown of Tormund, where they cleared his name of the murder charges of his wife and daughter that had been made against him. The party then made their way to the capital of the Crimson Sands, Orkenskar: the home of Leo. Here they met Jin'shen the Elder, and had to quickly be teleported to the Floating City of Kydenstedd. In his floating tower, they met the eccentric Karsus. The party was able to empower themselves from the magical city and met back up with Jin'shen and returned to Authiaire after the Lawbearer told Her Champion that Saorsa'bhao would be entering the world. The group found the city being beset upon by demons from the Abyss, and proceeded to march within the portal that had formed. They then found themselves in the realm of Saorsa'bhao: a land of ice and metal known as the Iron Wastes. Here they allied themselves with local Frost Giants and marched on the Iron Citadel. The party went in and met the Demon Prince in battle and slew him.
They then were carried home and quickly found themselves at the First Council of the Torendal Valley at Mt. Lunia. Here the future of the world was decided. The Seekers, as they would now be known, would slay 5 Draconic Governors and seal their souls within the Orbs of Dragonkind. Their first target would be that of Tordenkrone, the Screaming Storm. And, having dealt with most of Ezra and his clutch previous to this fight, slew the wyrm and sealed him within the first Orb; though not without a terrible loss of their own. Their comrade Tormund would lose his life to Tordenkrone and his forces in this battle. Returning to Mt. Lunia, the party decided on the next 4 Dragons they would slay. Logneronn, the Lying King in the East (It would be before this fight that the party would gain their new member, Chad Embergaze) Cindrusthor, the Scarlet Sun in the South (It would be during this fight that Ah'mrah would steal from the party their ally Jin'shen) Duergothoth, the Creeping Doom in Ashguard; and Inskratorr, the Glacial Hunger of the Frozen Isles. After sealing these souls within the Orbs of Dragonkind, the Seekers of the Golden Grain would set out for their most dangerous quest yet: Slaying the Goddess Tiamat and sealing her soul to Hell.
The Seekers were brought to Mt. Chronias, where Bright Star was able to finish his quest by finally delivering Sanctity's Fire back into the hands of the Everlight. With Her sword once again in her possession, Sarenrai and Corellon Larethian were wedded and brought together each's sword and summoned into the world the Platinum Dragon. The Gods together would face Tiamat in her true form, while the Seekers would head out to Avernus and face Her weakened avatar form. The group was then ushered through Avernus by Officiator-General Zariel, and Officiator-General Gatriel. Here the group met with the devil Bel, and agreed to give him the Blade of Avernus in return for a figure he had in his clutches; which turned out to be the disheveled and violated form of Jin'shen. Wounded grievously, Jin'shen rejoined his friends as they arrived at the Infernium Regnus: citadel of the Chromatic Queen. Inside the antechamber, Endelos'debrannan, the Endless Fire, the father of Jin'shen and first born of Tiamat confronts his estranged son and the two fight while the party continues on to the final chamber of the citadel. It is there that the Chromatic Queen awaits the party in avatar form, along with Her Champion, Ah'mrah. The Seekers battle the Goddess and after nearly all the party fall unconscious, the deed is done and the Scaled Tyrant is reduced to Her primordial form and is banished by the key words given to the Seekers by the Gods.
They finally return to Fjelldal and reclaim their new home, the Golden Grain Inn.
