Ser Berod

"Thread carefully men, this is a grave situation." - Ser Berod, Elkander Estate Cemetary 57 AoD

Ser Berod is a revered paladin of The Church of Tiran and leader of Tiran's Three. together with Ser Fyrian and Ser Vailen he retrieved Tiran's Shield from The Crimson Hand, a cult dedicated to the worship of The Crimson Queen who attempted to destroy the shield, allowing their goddess back into the mortal plane.

Berod was born in The Free City of Vynn , on the second year of the Age of Darkness, during the final stretch of The Great War. Growing up he experienced the horrors of war firsthand, living in extreme poverty for most of his youth. Like many in his situation the desperation caused by the daily struggle for survival led him to turn to a life of crime, working many years as a hired sword for some of Vynn's most notorious gangs.

In the year 28 AoD, his life was spared by a Paladin of Tiran, who, at great personal risk, saved Berod from a fire he had himself started. From then on Berod dedicated his life to serving the light of Tiran, training under the paladin who saved him and eventually being anointed paladin himself.

The Quest of Tiran's Shield

In the year 57 AoD, Tiran's Keep was the target of a furtive attack in which Tiran's Shield, the church's most significant artifact, was stolen. Ser Berod, along with the other members of Tiran's Three, traced the heist to a low nobleman, Straum Elkander.

Understanding the urgency of the situation, they stormed Elkander's estate where they uncovered The Crimson Hand's plot to destroy Tiran's Shield and free their goddess from its grasp. Through great effort and under Ser Berod's wise command, they put an end to this nefarious plan, defeating Straum Elkander and returning Tiran's Shield to its rightful place in the Tiran's Keep reliquary, under the watchful eye of their order.

Their heroic deeds earned them a place in the keep's hall of heroes, their likeness immortalized forever in its marble halls.
