Tiran's Shield

Tiran's Shield is a legendary true magic item, it currently resides in the Tiran's Keep's reliquary protected by The Church of Tiran's paladins.

Origins

Tiran's Shield is said to have belonged to Tiran himself. How he got hold of it is uncertain, in some accounts he is said to have forged it himself, others claim it was a gift from a higher deity.

Most legends are in concordance that Tiran used the shield to banish great evils from the region of The Free Cities before settling down and founding The Free City of Vynn.

Powers

The shield is said to coat the user in Tiran's divine light, greatly enhancing their reflexes and instincts. Perhaps more significantly, the shield has the power to permanently banish any creature from this plane of existence. Creatures banished by the shield cannot return so long as the shield remains intact.

Using the shield is not without risk, however, and most creatures are not strong enough to use its powers without great personal cost, often death. Additionally, the shield is known to reject some wielders, and favor others.
