Straum Elkander
Lord Straum Elkander was a low noble from The Free City of Vynn, and the last living member of House Elkander.
In the year 54 AoD his daughter Ardee Elkander died tragically in an hunting accident just a few months before she was set to marry one of the sons of the King of Vynn, an arrangement which would greatly elevate House Elkander's social stature. Grief-stricken at the loss of his only daughter, Straum retreated from society.
During this time he delved into the occult, pledging allegiance to The Crimson Hand and using his means as a nobleman to advance their interests. In the year 57 AoD, he conspired to steal Tiran's Shield from Tiran's Keep, which he did successfully. He brought the shield to a ritual chamber he had built under his daughter's grave, where he completed a ritual allowing The Crimson Queen to act through him with the intention of having her destroy the shield. His plans were thwarted by Tiran's Three, a valiant trio of paladins sent to retrieve the shield.
Straum and his accomplices did not survive the battle.
