Runeshire

Runeshire is a fortified city and the seat of House Runeshire, one of the seven ruling houses of the kingdom of Gale. Known for its military might and storied lineage, the city is a bastion of order North of the turbulent Lowland Plains. Built atop a commanding hill and encircled by towering battlements, Runeshire is both a symbol of Gale’s strength and a testament to its turbulent past.
  Runeshire owns the most expansive land in Gale. It's main exporter use to be steel and gems due to a rich ore mine found within its rolling mountains, but it's now more known for its military might.


 

Districts

Runeshire is divided into ten districts, each with its own distinct character and purpose:
  Runeshire Manor – The ducal palace, perched atop the highest hill, home to Duke Richard Runeshire and his family.
Rose District – Upscale residential area known for its gardens and noble estates (destroyed in the Blood Moon War).
Ivory District – A blend of artistry and aristocracy, housing galleries and manors (destroyed in the Blood Moon War).
Guardian District (Common Ward) – Home to soldiers and the Order of the Gauntlet, the city’s martial backbone.
Enclave – The laborer’s quarter, where the city’s workforce resides (destroyed in the Blood Moon War).
Gateway – Trade and farming hub, where merchants and crafters thrive (destroyed in the Blood Moon War).
New Life – A lively district of inns and taverns, favored by travelers.
Dawn Quarter – The wealthiest sector, closest to the Manor.
Morning Garden Square – The city’s bustling heart, dominated by the colossal Morning Tree.
Temple District – Home to the Morninglow (temple of Lathander) and a small mage school.

The city is surrounded by the Parchwood Timberlands, a dense forest that provides lumber and game but also hides dangers.
