Enter the Dark Archer (S1:E4)

Late Spring, 2020   Greenbank, Freedom City     Meta, a new designer drug has hit the streets of Freedom City.   The potential spread of meta and the creation of new addicts threatens a major crime wave across the city. Meta, a reddish liquid drug injected into the bloodstream, creates an inflated sense of power and confidence in the user. It can have unpredictable effects on some people, unlocking latent genetic potential.   In other words, the drug can give the user powers and abilities like those of metahumans!
Wanikiya Beltron of Beltran Enterprises, AKA The Dark Archer, had just learned about Meta, a new designer street drug, from his personal secretary whose boyfriend was hospitalized in critical condition after injecting himself with Meta.   Wanikiya promised to help her and her boyfriend, as well as getting to the bottom of where the drug was being manufactured and how it was being distributed in Freedom City.   After making some phone calls, Wanikiya received a tip leading him to look into a warehouse in the Greenbank district. Further investigations led him to discover the warehouse's owner, Grant Conglomerates or GrantCo, an international company with assets all over the world. GrantCo’s primary purpose was in scientific research, including the work that pioneered the DNAscent process, an experimental process that goes back to Nazi Germany during WW II under what the Nazi's dubbed, Operation Overlord.   GrantCo's DNAscent process, temporarily “unlocks” certain genetic potential in the user. According to several reports Wanikiya uncovered, the DNAscent process granted some users feelings of invincibility, and sometimes gives them the superhuman strength and durability to back it up! The U.S. military was testing the process began by the Nazis to develop super-soldiers for fighting the ongoing war against global terrorism and develop super-soldiers to combat enemy metahumans.   After calling GrantCo's CEO, Kyle Harrison, the exec claimed the warehouse in Greenbank was no longer being used, except for storing old office equipment. He had no further information he was willing to provide Wanikiya.   A drive to the warehouse during the day showed Wanikiya that the warehouse appeared to be boarded up, but showed indications that showed it was still being recently used. Wanikiya decided he would pay the warehouse a visit again at night...as the Dark Archer.     Under the cover of darkness, the Dark Archer made his way inside the warehouse.   Inside, he encountered four armed men and Milo, a scientist. Milo was overseeing the men fill dozens of syringes with a reddish liquid.   During the encounter, one of the men injected himself. His features quickly changed to that of a hulking monstrosity! However, the man-turned-meta couldn't control himself. He broke through a warehouse wall and disappeared into the night. A police helicopter, which happened to be nearby, spotted the rampaging man and chased after him.   The Dark Archer chose not to pursue the hulking brute.   After defeating the other armed men and Milo, the Dark Archer found a phone number on a note in Milo's pocket. The initials, K.H., was written next to the phone number. He kept the note.   The Dark Archer then tied up all five and called the police. After, he left the warehouse vowing to keep investigating Kyle Harrison and GrantCo's connection to the drug, Meta.
