Deep Marsh
A vast area of trackless swamp unanimously referred to as the Deep Marsh, home only to strange beasts and dangerous plants.
The lizardfolk dwell in the deeper reaches of the marsh, with several tribal kingdoms clashing for territory and hunting grounds. These lands are significantly swampier than those of the yuan-ti, and far harder for outsiders to navigate. Fools who wander into lizardfolk territory are often hunted and eaten.
Another tribal presence are the grung communities that dot the Deep Marsh. These groups of frogmen use their biological venom to weaken and capture trespassers, who are then sold to the yuan-ti. For trade, the yuan-ti give them armor, weapons, and jewelry.
The wildlife of the Deep Marsh is incredibly hostile to outsiders-- toxic plants, venomous snakes, giant crocodiles, and worse. Sometimes, fiends from the Demon Wastes will try to cross through the Deep Marsh, but they usually perish before they can even reach the Wreck Plains.
