Grung Tribes
The grung tribes are a scattered group of small, amphibious humanoids known to dwell in the trees of the Deep Marsh. They are territorial and aggressive, and are known to attack anyone who strays too close to their villages.
The grungs are vicious and more clever than they are given credit for. The wilderness around their villages is peppered with traps, mostly meant to maim, slow, or capture enemies. These traps are checked several times a day by grung hunters, whose weapons are tipped with a toxin similar to drow poison, pacifying creatures and making them more susceptible to capture.
Once captured, these slaves are held in pits covered by wooden lattices, starved and poisoned until they are marched to a yuan-ti settlement for sale.
