Orasenerana (o-ras-n-ra-na)
This young community was once Quenian Elvish before the humans took control and banned magic. It is situated 16 meters above sea level. The Marketplace is the life of this town, and it blooms with all sorts of interesting items and people.
The large human town of Orasenerana clings to the roots of ancient trees older than memory. The air is thick with mist and the perpetual patter of soft rain, dripping from fern-heavy branches and moss-slick rooftops. Towering evergreens loom over the settlement like silent, disapproving guardians.
Orasenerana was not always a human domain. For centuries, it was an elven enclave, a serene woodland citadel where magic hummed as naturally as the rain. When humans seized it 10 years ago, they repurposed the elegant tree-woven structures into sturdier, more practical habitations. Some of these buildings still bear unmistakable elven curves, branch-spiral balconies, homes raised on stone or wooden stilts and windows covered in flowering vines that humans cannot coax to bloom as they once did.
Other elven marvels lie abandoned or dismantled, their old enchantments now dormant. Humans are wary of such remnants, treating them like haunted ruins.

Districts
Neighbourhood Structure- Rather than having specific wards or districts, some cities have zones of wealth and disparity. In this model, gatherings of social communities inhabit numerous stylised neighbourhoods throughout the city. Members of different social groups commonly interact, and at times, individuals might find it difficult to tell one neighbourhood apart from another.
Light Village (Lower)- This is where the common folk reside.
Old District (Upper)- This is where the ruling families’ fortified manors are (minus House Lirenne), as well as where the guards are the most prominent and stationed.
Apple Cliff- This is where most of the shops are located and where the marketplace is situated.
Noon Steps - This area is home to the larger public buildings and features the second-highest security presence.
Dark Chapel (Religious District)- This is where the temples are located and where homes are situated for those associated with them. Also where House Lirenne is.
Underbelly District- This is where undesirables reside. A lot more magical creatures live down here, and anyone who has magical ties knows this is the place to be.

Tourism

Architecture
The architecture is more natural due to the rainforest, which is why the buildings need to blend seamlessly into the surrounding environment.
Due to the rainfall, the town's elevated timber buildings are constructed on stone or log stilts, keeping living spaces above the wet forest floor and thereby avoiding rot and floods. Steep shingled roofs, often of cedar or wooden shakes, shed heavy rainfall quickly. Some are weighted with stones to withstand storms. Deep overhanging eaves protect walls and walkways from constant rain. Stone foundations and drainage ditches channel water away from homes, all dug by hand or with beasts of burden. Cisterns and rain barrels collect clean water from roofs. Boiling or sand filtration ensures it’s drinkable. Canals and trenches divert excess rainwater downhill, lined with moss and stones to reduce erosion. Bridges and raised walkways keep roads above muddy ground; the wooden planks are regularly replaced.
Geography
Temperate rainforest: A middle-temperature, wet climate where it heavily rains or snows, depending on the time of year.
Flora: Sessile oak woodland, with smaller areas of birch, alder and ash trees. Ferns, mosses, liverworts, lichen and orchids.
Fauna: Otters, red squirrels, pipistrelle bats, deer, reed bunting, spotted flycatcher, skylark, bullfinch, linnet, song thrush, golden eagles, sea eagles, osprey, butterflies, dragonflies, moths and beetles.
Climate
Orasenerana is a temperate rainforest climate and typically experiences temperatures of around 14 °C.
