Viessa is a moon elf of noble blood. She was born in privilege and stayed in that life for so long, even with her husband, Gantar Tracaryn, and their children, Akkar Rorona-Tracaryn and Faylen Rorona-Tracaryn. After the magic ban and her husband's tragic passing, she became the High Priestess and lover of Marzath, and the proud owner of the brothel The Gilded Swan in Orasenerana.

Personal history

Viessa was born to a noble family of elves that once ruled Orasenerana before magic became outlawed. She grew up in a beautiful estate near the town, surrounded by extensive gardens. She was happy living at home until her father arranged a marriage with an elven man, Gantar Tracaryn, from another noble family.

Gantar Tracaryn was nice to her and even made her fall in love with him. She happily married him, and they were content in their new mansion until he began to act strangely. They even had two children together. He started to disappear at night and hurt her; she only knew this because she would wake up in the middle of the night to an empty bed. She didn't know what to do, so she went to her parents to ask for help, although she didn't tell them about the abuse. Her father dismissed her worries, but her mother pulled her aside afterwards. She validated her feelings of worry and told her to look into it. So she did.

One night, Viessa pretended to be asleep and followed him out the door. She got to the doorway and was stopped by a hand being placed on her shoulder, which made her look up into the golden eyes of a beautiful man. A gentle voice came from his mouth and told her the whole truth about where her husband was going and told Viessa that he would never hurt her again. It hurt her, and in normal circumstances, she wouldn't have believed him. However, there was something about him that made her think he was telling her the truth. She went back to bed after saying goodbye to the stranger and crying her eyes out.

Viessa was woken up by the ringing of the front doorbell and an empty bed. She answered it, instead of her butler, when she saw the guards, and they told her that her husband had been found dead that morning. She didn't know how to process this information and stumbled back, falling to her knees. The tears came down once more as the guards tried to comfort her. The butler took over as the guards were instructed to return later to ask their questions. He brought her back to her room so she could cry it out and promised to bring her some food later. Once alone in her room, Viessa's tears were wiped away by the same beautiful man who had told her the truth. He told her not to worry, that what had happened was not her fault, and that she would be better off without the prick. Once Viessa calmed down, the man introduced himself as Marzath and promised to look after her if she helped him with a few things. She was low enough, and he had her in his grip, with her needing the comfort that she agreed.

She has been with Marzath ever since. That was 30 years ago. Her kids moved out as she moved on with her life; she does still see them on occasion. Since then, she has served him well, gathering a cult in his name and becoming his high priestess. Her family fell out of nobility when humans performed the magical purge, so she was glad that she had Marzath's brothel as her workplace now.
