Captain Heroditus
A piece of a defeated demon king, broken off and turned to the side of good.
The first captain of the Totenkreuz and leader of the Angerious Empire, Captain Heroditus was a man crusading to repent for his past. His betrayal at the hands of his second-in-command and blood brother, Rrackdar Lense, brought this crusade to an end, with Heroditus being imprisoned beneath the Sacred Hollow and thus reunited with his evil greater self.
Freed in 24 ARL by a group of heroes (and one villain) via a massive ritual in which Seneca Whitestag revealed herself to be a licrin and in love with him, he has informed his rescuers that he intends to help them. First, though, they must confront the Totenkreuz's need for magical crystals, the source of which is the cursed village of Blingendenburberry: a gnomish village with an ancient blessed lineage and a dark history of enslavement to the Dark Lord... and to Captain Heroditus.
