Crypt of the Sacred Hollow

A crypt in which a great and terrible demon king is imprisoned.
The crypt is located in the Vale of Hermonides, set atop a mountain plateau on the edge of the vale. The crypt is capped by the holy ground of the Sacred Hollow, preventing the monsters within the crypt from escaping and wreaking havoc.
The crypt was once the site of the demon king's cathedral, before he was defeated by a group of legendary heroes and sealed away.

Architecture

The crypt is composed of a winding network of underground tunnels, laid out in a descending series of floors. Each floor has its own dangers, though it is difficult to distinguish between them. The layout of each floor is roughly square, with the entrance from above in one corner and the passage to the next floor down in the opposite corner. These openings between floors are generally large, open holes with no stairways or ladders.
Like in most high-tier dungeon complexes, the crypt's walls are supernaturally resilient and possibly self-repairing, and the precise layout of each floor may change between visits to foul mapping attempts and ensure traps are always unexpected.
On the bottom floor of the crypt is the imprisoned soul of the demon king.

Defenses

The crypt is exceptionally dangerous to explore. The demon king's followers and minions are still distributed throughout the crypt and will aggressively hunt any intruders. The crypt actively arranges real or illusory treasure and events to lure intruders from the main corridors and into lethal traps and ambushes. Teleportation is suppressed, preventing invaders bypassing any of the defenses.
