What is Eschamancy?

A paracausal system like a parallel to magic, Eschamancy is the practice of utilising a Lens to manipulate reality through spoken commands, though the actuator is the intent rather than the spoken word. The potency of eschamancy is directly tied to emotional extremes, thus moments of genuine peril or grief act as an accelerant. Although eschamancy can manifest in exotic ways and is all but impossible to defend against, it comes at a terrible cost. When a human uses a Lens to turn will to power, the 'fuel' for the spell is the very energy they are made of, thus extreme magic will likely result in their death. Due to the nature of eschamancy's ties to Nowhere, using it in excess will eradicate the very essence and matter of the user from their timeline, thus their soul will not find it's way to the end of time and be recoverable by the King of Nothing .
