Once upon all times, there is vast sea of Maybe, Almost, Could-Be, Maybe-Not. Some call it the Aether, some call it the Quondamarie, some call it a great whopping mess and want nothing to do with it.
The Quondamarie is potentially full of things: all the things one might expect to find in a physical world, and quite a great many that one might never imagine could exist. However, nothing really "exists" there, at least, not for very long. It is a non-place of no-rules-at-all and all-possibilities-at-once, so permanence is impossible (except when it isn’t) unless a stable mind is present to observe it, define it, and preserve it.
“As an infinity of infinities lie on the number line between Zero and One, so do limitless Somethings lie in the infinite area beneath the infinite curve of the Great Sphere of Everything-At-Once encompassed by its conceptual twin, Nothing-At-All. Any questions?”

to get their foundation classes out of the way
Within the Quondamarie are all the ever-present points of time and consciousness: all combinations of the Purideac ideals. Some are sentient fragments of the Omnul experiencing itself from every possible perspective. Others are conditions, or ideas, or qualities experienced and/or defined by the Omnulic fragments.
Anything is possible in the Quondamarie, but in the infinite dimension where literally anything can happen, nothing much tends to stick for very long. The Quondamarie is the realm of pure potentiality: a miasma of uncollapsed wave functions emitted by the Twenty-Four Purideas and all their Lesser Spectra and right on down to the momentary whimsy of each Omnulic fragment. These waves bounce throughout existence, interacting with one another every which way to create the boundless sea of That Which Could Become.

That Which Could Become, Ever Becoming That Which Is and Is Not
Although the Quondamarie contains every possibility–all the things and ideas and conditions that did, do and will exist (even the paradoxes)–none of it is permanent. Until a sentient mind applies the force of its will to manifest a stable actuality within the potential energy, it’s all just possibility: everything forming and dissipating at random, blinking in and out of being, lasting sometimes just a moment, sometimes longer.
If you find yourself within the Quondamarie, good luck—depending on your coordinates, it can be calm and smooth, or tossed with frightful storms. There are great sucking whirlpools that might pull you into a
Connodo. Aetheric tsunamis could push you into a whole new dimension or drown your mind beneath a massive wave of chaos. You might find yourself bogged down in piles of slurry, or you may hit upon a rich vein of
quondamarite. Anything-at-all could manifest right on top of you at any time.*
Still, some hardy travelers will brave the waves and sail through the Quondamarie. Some experienced
Somnicists have even learned to control the energy of possibilities, just a little bit. You can literally get anything you want from it,
if you know how to ask, and
if you can hold onto it once it appears and make it really-real, for real.
* "Quondamaric time is a whole ‘nother topic, which we’ll cover in Unit 2. Now please open your textbooks to the introductory diagram on Page 718...”
