Session 3 2/1/25
General Summary
In world date: Evening of 21 Sunsebb - Morning of 24 Sunsebb
The session began with the party concluding their day at the Wanderer’s Respite. While most of the group spent the evening discussing the Wand of Winter, playing games, and drinking, Saluda took a solitary walk to clear his thoughts. During his stroll, he discovered that several plots designated for land improvement had been severely damaged or destroyed by the recent storm.
Later that night, a commotion shattered the inn’s quiet as a mysterious Satyr stirred trouble, rousing Kilmata, Linnea, and Saluda. The trio pursued the intruder into the freezing night, but he disappeared before they could apprehend him.
In the morning, the party met with Bailiff Alvina Mirestride, who granted them a writ of standing and a horse from the town’s stable. They then paid a visit to the Driftwood Emporium, where they received a collection of items as repayment for their previous services.
With their affairs in Bazina settled, the party set out for Havenmoor, the first leg of their journey toward Vexaris, where they hoped to uncover their next clue regarding the Wand of Winter. Before departing, Bleddyn took the time to compose an epic tale of their adventures thus far, crafting ten copies plus a master edition, each valued at 10 gold pieces. (Copies of BB Tales Vol. 1 can now be recreated at five times the cost of materials, with a maximum resale value of 20 gold per copy).
As they traveled, strange visions plagued various party members—some real, some false. These illusions led them to another encounter with the Satyr, Thyrios Thistletide, who revealed that he had been pushing these visions to help them discern truth from deception. He then made them an unsettling offer: in exchange for a substantial payment, he wanted them to steal the Tempest Stone so he could use its power to destroy Bazina, seeking revenge for the mayor’s destruction of his homestead in a land improvement project.
Rather than accept his offer, the party managed to negotiate an alternative. They returned to Bazina with Thyrios and brokered a deal: the town would rebuild his farm, with Thyrios contributing to the repair costs, and the party would cash in a favor to ensure the agreement held.
With the conflict resolved, the group once again resumed their journey toward Vexaris, a trip expected to take just under two weeks. Along the way, they encountered a caravan of traveling merchants, who purchased all ten copies of BB Tales Vol. 1 for 100 gold pieces.
Their first night camping on the road was interrupted by an attack from a trio of Stench Kows—formidable beasts with an overwhelming odor. Despite the foul encounter, the party successfully defeated the creatures, securing their camp and pressing onward toward their destination.
