Notes & Remarks: .There are three known factions that follow the ways of The Hunter all are based upon the legend of Zorgifi and his hunt of the person who razed his village to the ground. Each faction has its own take and interpretation of the events.
- The first are the hunters that hunt for the largest, meanest, toughest hunts for glory, gold, trophy prizes and fame. Their only desire is to prove that they can be the 'best' hunter and have largest bravado and most grand of trophies.
- The second are those that hunt to maintain the survival of their homes, villages, or even their own business, but they will only hunt what is needed and will always use the entire animal. They teach all of the skills needed to be successful and to hunt where the creature suffers the least and make the most use of the hunt.
- The last group are those that are the most feared, the most elusive and are sought after by only the most devious and cold-hearted. These individuals are known at the minimum by name in all but the most remote villages and hamlets. They are considered the “Assassin's Assassin” and they only hunt one kind of animal, other humanoids (e.g. humans, elf, dwarf, orc, etc.). Their belief is that they have proven that they can hunt animals and this is no longer a challenge, so they have moved to a more intelligent and challenging game. The symbol for these hunters are two crossed punch daggers, this is believed to be the preferred weapon of these elusive assassin.
