Aliens

Aliens are sentient beings from other worlds. They come in two broad categories: Extraterrestrial Aliens, who come from other planets, and Extraplanar Aliens, who come from distant dimensions.   Aliens are the rarest standard race to be found on Earth. They are so rare, in fact, that the general public doesn’t even believe they exist, and typically excuse away sightings as unusual varieties of mutants. Aliens themselves quickly find it wise to keep a low profile, so their true numbers on the planet can only be guessed.
  • Building an Alien: Aliens allow the most flexibility of character design for any standard race. This can make working out how to spend their character points a challenge. Remember that aliens are a standard race, meaning you do not need to spend a character point on a metahuman option unless your character has innate powers. Cryptid is a good choice for aliens with powerful physical abilities. Aberration works well for aliens with supernatural powers, particularly those that involve psionics or body-warping; however, Fey is also an option if those abilities are more decidedly magical in nature. If your character relies on advanced alien technology, and is not a robot or cyborg, you may want to consider the Artifact special resource.
  • Distant Realms: The Earth has several adjacent dimensions that are considered part of it. These include Arcadia, Cyberspace, the Night Sea, and the local divine realms and hells. Extraplanar beings from these realms are not considered true aliens. As was just implied, there are heavens and hells that aren’t local to Earth, too, as well as realms of any alignment imaginable. The Astral Chaos is a big place, and connects many worlds.
