The Nomad Queen Elara (a.k.a. Suntorn)

Because to me, nothing is more deserving of protection than the Mokari.” – Elara Suntorn to the druid Owen Burk.Following in a long line of rulers, Elara of Mokar is the newest individual to take the crown of the nomads. Raised by her grandfather, the previous ruler, Elara was trained her whole life to take the title of queen and to preserve her people’s culture. However, the title was not assured to her, her own father had not been fit to take the title from her grandfather and was skipped over, the title was one passed on by the previous monarch not by lineage so she quickly distinguished herself when she came of age. A most peculiar aspect of her is her skin, despite living all her life in the desert, she has much paler skin than other Mokari. This is likely due to ancient Elvish blood, which would explain her other features such as her bright blue eyes.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Elara is one of the most physically fit people among the Mokari, and is believed to have never been sick or beaten in a fight.
Body Features
She is a tall and muscular woman, standing above most women in the Mokari and a few men. Her thin physique hides her undeniable strength and peerless speed.
Facial Features
She has a small nose and low cheekbones along with a few scars on the left side of her face.
Identifying Characteristics
She has unusually pale skin for a Mokari and bright blue eyes. Her charcoal hair goes all the way down to her lower back and she refuses to put it up even in combat.
Apparel & Accessories
She dresses in plate armor just about everywhere she goes, including a light brown cloak that matches the sands of the desert.
Specialized Equipment
The armor and weapons she uses are both unique, her Nomad Plate armor is a special gift from her grandfather. Passed down from one monarch to another over the years, meanwhile her twin scimitars which she affectionately calls "Luna and Sola" have the markings of the sun and moon on their blades. These were claimed by her from the vaults of Chin'Chi'Tor during the Second Desert War.

Accomplishments & Achievements
Involving herself in the Second Desert War between the Mokari and the Tlincalli, she and a group of fifty sacked their port city of Chin’Chi’Tor, wiping it from the face of Lusamiel. They then proceeded to burn half of their slave city Tlin’Leir’Dua and free over three thousand captives, forcing the Tlincalli back from the desert entirely for several years. It was during this time she received the title of “Suntorn” after fighting for eight hours straight in the battle of Chin’Chi’Tor and rode back to Melkine covered in Tlincalli blood as well as a deep sunburn.

She is a cunning woman, but also a laid-back one who entertains any visitors that wish to meet the Mokari. Though these visitors are few and far between, it is always a joy to her when they appear.

Motivation
When she received her throne, Elara quickly began work trying to negotiate with the druids of The Oasis, hoping to convince them to allow the Mokari to live within. Without much success, she and her people have grown frustrated and the druids have withdrawn further into their walls. Past that she wants to completely rid the desert of the Tlincalli who seem to resurface every time they think they have been exterminated.
Virtues & Personality perks
Elara holds stubbornly tight to her beliefs even at the cost of personal loss, even if it means making enemies of those she would rather not she refuses to give up on what she sees as true. Whenever anyone is in need, regardless of what race they are, she will help them immediately. This has led to a strange number of people coming to live among the Mokari, including dwarves, orcs, and even a centaur.
Vices & Personality flaws
Elara's stubbornness is also her greatest weakness, she can rarely see past what she believes as right and can be deaf to other opinions when it matters most. Especially when under duress, Elara is known to blaze ahead without regard for possible consequences and can lead her own people into great danger. While this has worked in the past with the destruction of Chin'Chi'Tor, it has also lead to several of her dearest friends and allies dying for her.

Among the Mokari she is loved and respected though any who have met with the Order of Life in The Oasis will tell a different story. They will tell of a naïve soul who can not look past her perception of the “greater good” and refuses to understand the value or holiness of The Oasis. As can be expected, tension remains high between the two sides.
Religious Views
She is a worshipper of The Source, much like the rest of the Mokari, and has tolerated the Church of Koaldus to a point and even allowed the free worship of other gods if her people so wish it. However, she draws the line at worship of Tarram and fiends, the former due to his direct involvement in the destruction of Mokar and the latter since they nearly destroyed all of life.
Mannerisms
Elara is known for her cunning and strength, but also her humorous mannerisms and phrases. A colorful speaker that has befuddled several who have spoke with her, she is also a very open individual, welcoming any non-Mokari visitors so long as they are peaceful. Any travelers that have met her will always come back with stories of playing a quick-paced game of darts or listening to her overthink and answer to one of their questions.
Speech
She is a highly expressive and poetic speaker, always vocalizing her feelings in ways that can sometimes be seen as downright melodramatic. However, to Elara she is simply stating her feelings as they are just with more flair than most, and the occasional crass joke.

History
Silvus and Elara grew up alongside each other, and at one point that Elara considered him her chief confidant. Born only four days apart, they have been beside each other for their whole lives, training, fighting, and bleeding for the Mokari. In the Second Desert War, Silvus was kidnapped by the Tlincalli and tortured, during this time Elara was frantic to retrieve him and led her legendary assault on Chin'Chi'Tor to retrieve him. Though he was a quieter man after that experience, he was always kind with Elara. However, during a festival celebrating Elara's twenty-seventh birthday, Silvus was revealed to be the Heir of Koaldus who had been causing so much turmoil among the Mokari. After this event, Elara and Silvus dueled to a standstill where both had to be dragged away before they died of exhaustion. Since then it is unknown if the two have had contact, but there are days when it is said Elara is overtaken by a deep melancholy as her own birthday approaches.
Nicknames & Petnames
Elara used to refer to Silvus as "Silver" and he called her "Elfie" due to her seemingly Elvish ancestry.
