Melkine
“Humble though it may seem, there is something impressive about the fact that those who live there can move the entire city hundreds of miles in the span of a day or two."- Dwarven explorer, Adrik Deep-DwellerTo the Mokari, Melkine is the last safe have in their nomadic lifestyle. Though its location moves every few years, Melkine’s layout stays the same. Melkine contains several thousands of Mokari who move in and out at their leisure, and the Nomad Lords pay their tribute to their queen Elara Suntorn and the Arch-priests of The Source at His shrine. The tent city of Melkine moves every few years by its nomadic inhabitants, while most Mokari stay moving, a few prefer a relatively slower life in Melkine, under the direct watch of Queen Elara Suntorn.
Demographics
The Mokari that live in the city likely have jobs that require stability, were requested as such by Elara or a Nomad Lord, or are too old or young to trek across the desert on a regular basis.
Government
The Mokari Monarch rules directly over the city while the Nomad Lords lead the individual nomadic bands, the current monarch, Queen Elara Suntorn, is loved by her people and rules with a fairly light touch. She trusts her people and the people trust her.
Defences
Melkine's greatest defense is its mobility, within a day the population can pick up the whole city and leave before danger reaches it. Even if it did, Elara's personal army are among the finest warriors the Mokari have ever produced.
Infrastructure
The forges of the Mokari are small and portable stone kilns that sit together near the edge of the city, the blacksmith tradition of the Mokari is a close-kept secret that even close friends of the people are not privy to, or if they are, they are sworn to secrecy.
