Jamlinan and Trupi met for the first time in 838 when Trupi was in Pese as a Chiro. Trupi and Jamlinan liked each other immediately, perhaps because they were close in age, but also because they both felt deeply that they didn't belong. Jamlinan was a Kibenan Mune, but had not been found until they was 11, and had begun their training later than the other Mune. Trupi was the only woman in her chosed field, and was constantly picked on by her colleagues.
