Midnight Disaster

  When the portal opened between Infernus and Levis before the second demon war neither realm expected the kinds of personalities that would come through. They expected the loyal, the desperate and the brave but they did not expect the mad.   Nearly a decade later, all those who travel the seas between the Dorsal Island east of the Nocturne Empire and the Solaris kingdom fear the approach of the Midnight Disaster. Helmed by Three-Talons and guided by her navigator One-Chance, the captain/navigator combo barely follow the rules, more in favour of using their reinforced prow as a ram, the Rune-Enriched Magma engine powering a giant rotating blade that activates once ships meet on the water, cutting into the prey until water starts to board the ship.  

The Attack

This aggressive technique combined with the rigorous helping of opposition crew and quick snatch and grab pilfering of the sinking cargo has led to many a trade captain just fleeing at the sight of the armored sawblade hull.   The crew may be mad, but despite often wearing Ferrite Hooves, the men and women of the Midnight Disaster have grown fast and strong swimmers - though sometimes they lose some of the loose cargo to water damage or sea-drift. First priority is always the crew though, and the shock and awe technique tends to leave the prey vessel without fight in them once they are brought to the Midnight Disaster.   Said crew is offered position on the demonic vessel or is taken to the nearest coastal village when the vessel passes that way.
