Mancer

While all inhabitants of Vanori are capable of channeling ohmi, those who are more adept are known as Mancers. Mancers often possess more ohmi and are more in tune with one branch over another. Both can be determined through heredity and influenced by the channeler's environment. A Mancer can also be identified in their youth by their aura, because they are incapable of controlling what they emit.   The branch of ohmi the Mancer is more in tune with determines the type of Mancer they are:  

• Geomancers= Terbis
• Hydromancers= Azuris
• Aeromancers= Sonis
• Pyromancers= Fernis
• Lumancers= Brio
• Chronomancers=Tenebre

  Once a Mancer has matched their attuned branch, they begin honing more specialized incantations in their branches’ temples. These incantations range from being more general in their everyday use, such as the Invocations of Aqua Amnis which allows Hydromancers to manipulate the currents of all forms of water, to incantations that are a little more sinister such as the Conjuration of Static Torrent invoked by Aeromancers.   Incantations are grouped by difficulty, and difficulty is determined by the level of ohmi expended. Mancers that possess more Ohmi can learn difficult incantations more easily, thus allowing them to rise quicker in rank.   Mancers start with the rank of Mancer. As they master more difficult incantations, they rise to, for example, Terbis Mancers, Geomancer, High Geomancer, and Arch Geomancer. There is also the rank of Supreme Mancer, but the title is mainly acknowledged in the Kingdoms of Hodrana and Blacklam. It’s reserved for the most executive role of the Dendrohmi sects, and the Supreme Lumancer is the superior of all sects.   After a Mancer has become a specialized Mancer, there are roles in society they can fulfill should they choose to pursue. Geomancers are often sought after to build structures for cities and towns, Hydromancers work with farmers to cultivate the land for crops, and Lumancers, although rarer to come by, serve as menders working in clinics or temples. In Hodrana and Blacklam, many choose to pursue a life in the military.
