Is'ykner (Ice-ick-nur)

Geography

The country of Is'ykner is a coastal one with the major cities further inland. Quy'orli Canyon serves as a natural division between them. Rivers and lakes serve as smaller borders between the different regions in Is'ykner. Is'ykner is a vast country, in which The Collective  rules, the collective hopes to expand its reach to Quy'orli  however quy'orli canyon makes this difficult.

Ecosystem

Trees and vast grasslands cover Is'ykner, woodlands cover several minor parts of Is'ykner (mainly coastal forests). The cities of Is'ykner (mainly the capital of ka'nir) influence the environment and change it. They change the course of rivers to do their work, they tame the wildlands to grow their food, they use the water to transport their people and their wares to other countries. Vines grow on the city walls, ancient powers roam the wildlands, untamed and free. There have been several attacks on smaller villages by nature spirits.

Ecosystem Cycles

The seasons change as they do on realm prime (Earth). The animals during the summer turn lighter colors, to cool them from the beaming sunlight. The birds migrate up north to the golden isles during the winter and return during the spring. During the winter the plants will behave as they do on earth as will the animals.

Localized Phenomena

Periodically, in eighth-tide nature spirits and peaceful elementals will tend to their aspects of creation. The water elementals will calm the coarsing rivers and deep oceans, rain tends to rush from the sky. The nature spirits tend to the wildlands restoring damage that was done by humanity. During Nephyrus, winds from the western sea comes into Is'ykner and shears through the coastal wildlands and its cities.

History

It is said that the elves settled in this region with the hopes of an escape from the purge of elven kind in the east. This lead them west, towards Is'ykner, they created the city of Ilyhthemar. This became the center of elven civilization, years of peace went by and after an unknown calamity. The city was destroyed.
