Y'Sy'kranor (EE'see'krah'nor)

Geography

The continent of Y'Sy'kranor is a temperate one. With grasslands, deserts, mountains, bogs, caves, and islands. The grasslands of this continent are very populated, with the human cities spread throughout the continent. Fierce rivers run through Y'Sy'kranor and form large lakes, mainly in the country of Is'ykner. The second and oldest country in Y'Sy'kranor is Quy'orli. It is said that giants founded this nation and constructed the pillars which holds up the sky. This is why there are many mountain ranges in Quy'orli.    The third region of Y'Sy'kranor is nothing but death. For an ancient battle took place here. It is now known as the fallen rock.    Not much else about Y'Sy'kranor is so easily described for it is vast in wonder.

Localized Phenomena

In the four corners of Y'Sy'kranor there lies the four elementals, to the north, the air elementals carve wonderous structures and are often solitary and won't interact with mortals or non-mortals. To the west we have the water elementals in Is'ykner, they are usually social and will be seen traveling the rivers and water ways of the region. They take dwelling in the withering sea to the west of Is'ykner. To the east the earth elementals shelter themselves in the mountains on the far reaches of Quy'orli.   They are known to be excellent craftsmen and make fortresses out of mountains. And to the south the fire elementals are locked away. For their treachery against the elves, they are to be held in the fiery mountains for the end of time. But, before the extinction of the elves and dwarves, they were said to master blacksmiths and crafters. Their blades were said to glow red, and could cut through armour.   Every few decades, the four elementals travel to the center of the continent and restore the wildlands. What has been taken away, shall be renewed.

History

Y'Sy'kranor is the western most continent and the youngest of the five, it is described as the last continent to have humanoids inhabant it from the east. The elves and dwarves are long since extinct however proof of their existence stems throughout Ikthvana, neither race has been seen for centuries. It is rumored that the elves were the founders of Y'Sy'kranor, and in Is'ykner , built the ruined city of Ilyhthemar which is located to the far east of Ka'nir.
