Khalia Imogyn Fox
The newest addition to
The Divine Guardians. She is a 17 year old witch, who was only admitted in at such a young age because she was already quite advanced, and seemed to hold even more potential. She sometimes struggles in school, and isn't the most popular, but everyone on the team is always excited to help teach her new things. She may not succeed at school like her dad wants, but she will definitely succeed at being a hero!
She knows all basic spells like the back of her hand: magical shields, magical bubbles, unlocking spells, basic flight, etc.. She is still learning more advanced spells, such as ice and fire spells, tracking spells, animation spells, and more. Despite still being a novice, compared to other witches her age, she has a lot of magic potential in her that will only grow as she gets older. Often, when she is using magic on herself or other things/people, her hands will glow purple, and the object/person will glow purple too. This is her witch energy materializing itself to cast the spell she is using.
She is currently a senior in high school, and works with The Divine Guardians part-time after school. She is required to keep her grades up, however, otherwise her father will pull her off the team, as he wants her to focus on school first. She still tries to spend at much time at the HQ as possible.
Kahlia is an Aquarius.
Physical Description
Slightly above average fitness, agility is somewhat slow however. Has an hourglass body shape, veering close to a pear body shape.
Espresso skin tone, coiled black hair that she usually has pulled into a bun on the top of her head.
Eyebrows are dark and angular, face shape is a more roundish oval.
Is left handed, sometimes stands up too straight or hunches over too much, sometimes over exaggerates her motions.
Typically is seen wearing her school uniform since she goes straight from school to work, but will otherwise wear typical teenage clothes; skinny jeans, graphic tees, etc..

Khalia was born in
Arkhall,
Nestoca, to human parents, common for witches. Her parents found out about her magical abilities when she was 3. She was shouting random words at a bird that was destroying her dirt castle that she made in her backyard, and at one point, the bird burst into flames. After her parents buried the bird, they took her to a doctor, who tested her DNA and found the witch mutation. Her parents tried to encourage healthy learning for her powers, by giving her books to read about witches when she was getting old enough to understand that she was different.
At her 11th birthday party, after showing off her abilities to her friends, a similar incident happened to the bird incident. Her parents got charged for it, and her friends started avoiding her; so did everyone at school. She started to get bullied, people calling her a murderer, even though the girl survived. Her powers started to get tied to her emotions, which became outlandish and hard to control. She would end up breaking things without realizing it, and sending her powers out in ways she didn't mean. Her parents became outcasts from those close to them as well because of this.
When she was 13, her mom couldn't handle it anymore, and disappeared, leaving her with just her father who didn't know how to handle a daughter like this. He signed her up for therapy when she was 14, so she could at least talk through her problems, which he hoped would disconnect her emotions from her powers. The latter didn't happen, but she started to feel much better afterwards. She started to slowly make friends again, even if she was still treated like an outcast the majority of the time. Her dad got her a witch tutor when she was 15, to help her understand her powers more and be able to control them. It was a lot of financial strain for her single dad, but it was worth it to him.
When she was 17, a month after her senior year of high school started and she was planning for college, she got approached by
Jaxson Greaves when she was practicing her abilities in a park. He was impressed with her powers, and offered her a position in The Divine Guardians, saying how they needed someone with strong powers like hers. Her father didn't like the idea; his teenage daughter joining a fully adult team of heroes, who go out everyday to risk their lives. After some convincing from both Khalia and Jaxson, he agreed, on the agreement that should would need to keep her grades up in school, and that she be kept out of anything extremely dangerous until her powers developed more, which both Khalia and Jaxson agreed on. She joined the team, with Jaxson taking on the role of her mentor.
Currently a senior in high school. Average grades in most of her classes, but takes a couple of lower level classes.
Currently just joined the main team, so has just started gaining compensation as a part time member.
The accident that happened when she was 11 changed the way she thinks about things, causing her to be more secluded and scared to use her power sometimes.
She believes that everyone can change their ways, whether that means for the good or for the bad, but believes that in the end people will realize their wrongs and become good before the end of their days. Sometimes people just need a push in the right direction, and she will be that person if the situation ever arises.
Not using your manners or showing someone basic decency, no matter what they did, is a big no-no.
Personality Characteristics
Wants to control her powers and do good for the world, while also finishing school without failing.
Good at solving conflicts with mutual agreements and usually brings a cheerful air around her that cheers up others, but has a hard time focusing in school and struggles with conversating properly.
Loves bright colors, favorite color is light blue loves cookies. Dislikes anyone who could be considered a villain, dislikes bugs, dislikes vegetables.
Often works well under pressure (not with school though), is able to use spells quick and in a snap, although insecure she tried to see the positive aspects in things.
Insecurities can often hold her back from achieving great things, gets scared easily (sometimes by herself).
Stutters sometimes, may also twitch reflexively.

Is quite shy at first, but then is open and friendly once she gets to know someone a little bit, otherwise is kind of uncomfortable around people she doesn't know.

History
Jaxson and Khalia first met when Jaxson first discovered her practicing her powers at a park after school. Impressed by her already strong powers at such a young age, he wanted her to become a part of the team, saying that he could help teach her how to control her powers better and train her to be an impressive hero. She was immediately excited about this, but her dad initially said no, wanting her focus on school, and frankly not even wanting her to join any kind of hero team, afraid for her safety. After Jaxson convinced her dad directly, she was able to join the team. He is currently a mentor to her due to knowing a lot about witches, and tries to act like a father figure to her, despite her seeing him more like a weird uncle.
Relationship Reasoning
Jaxson scouted her out for the team on his own, and wanted to become her mentor. Because of this they have an almost student/teacher dynamic.
History
Evening and Khalia first met when Jaxson tried to get Khalia to join the team. Initially, Evening was against the idea of Khalia joining due to her young age and still being in high school, but after some convincing from both Jaxson and Khalia, finally let the teen into the team. Evening currently has a low opinion of Khalia since she has done nothing to prove herself worthy of being on the team, and after doing some research on her, found out about her incident from when she was younger, creating a slight distrust in the teen. She pushes her hard, and anything she does wrong instantly gets met with negativity from Evening. Despite this, Khalia still has a high opinion of Evening due to her notoriety as being one of the strongest heroes out there, and wanting to be like her.

They only associate with each other because of them being on the same team together, and Evening's low opinion of Khalia is because of her age and not showing enough promise, while Khalia admires Evening for her abilities and wants to be like her.

They don't know too much about each other, but since Khalia is a fan of the team, she know a decent amount about Max, and looks up to him as a hero a lot. Max can tell the amount of potential that Khalia has as a witch, and has a lot of respect for her and looks forward to seeing her grow.

Khalia and Sophia first met when Khalia first become a member of the team, so they are only acquaintances at this point. Sophia does have an interest in Khalia as a witch, and is intrigued as to how she has such power at her current age, and is gonna be following her progress. Khalia looks up to Sophia as a hero, even if she kind of weirded out by her personality and behavior.

Hayden and Khalia first met after Khalia first joined the team. At this point in time, they don't know each other very well, but Hayden has some respect for Khalia due to her being accepted into the team so easily at a young age, compared to him having to put a lot of effort into his audition. Khalia also has a lot of respect for Hayden, due to her admiring everyone on the team.
