Port Stoic
Port stoic is a south-east harbour town with a strong royal prescence. The town is used as a trading hub between the Brotherhood of Tarn and the The Royal Guard and is where the royal guard receive power crystals to bring back to Zentawen. This is where fishing vessels employed under the banner of the king turn in their catch in order to feed Zentawen and is a central point between a lot of farmland. As port stoic sits along the Elven Network Trade Route it is utilised to transport goods quickly to Zentawen.
Port Stoic is also a trading point for several of the coastal and island settlements allowing the kingdom to receive and trade rarer resources like diverse vegetation and sea life, pearls, shells and pigments.
The Port also has a small fort which doubles as a training post for members of the kings guard. These members are sent to train outside of Centawen as they are less involved with the royal court and policing inside of the walls.
Interestingly Port Stoic has seen an increase in smuggler activity in recent days as it has become a regular stop for the Barrel Scrapers to distribute forms of Contraband Items. This settlement is easier to access than Zentawen as it lacks walls and gates and is harder to police. It's also in part to the location, as Port Stoic is very close to Rakside/ The Rakes' Hide a city notorious for lax attitudes sorrounding contraband and magic-users, as well as an easy access to many smaller settlements off the coast who experience even less policing than that of the mainland. During the Wreck of the barrel scrapers bootleg train the train was enroute from Umpton to Port Stoic during the wreck, during this wreck the lone survivor Wylde disembarked the train before reaching the Port. The ruins of which was later sent to Zentawen in order to beassssed for potential risks.
Demographics
The demographic of Port Stoic is entirely made Kith. Although the people who live there are few as most live in the farmland or in small hamlets around the port. Most of the people who live there do so in family units, or as part of workhouses.
Government
The settlement, like all kith settlements in Gand is under the rule of the current king, King Arvid , as it functions as a trading post and dock there are a number of local government members who oversee the port and manage the day to day, as well as a number of union representatives. Locals as a bit wary of the occasional prescence of the Brotherhood as they are an intimidating force but many are too afraid to levy for any lessening of the prescence.
