Jopora Gheshin

Jopora was born in the Kilereth Empire and was trained at an early age to be a competent fighter. As she hit puberty however, she realized that her ideals were very different from her parents and even her community. She believed that the powerful should protect the weak rather than dominate them. When she was about 14 years old she met a male Crystal Dragonborn named Yoldis, who came to her rescue in the mountains when she was attacked by a saber tooth tiger. Of course, he couldn't handle the fight and she was forced to protect him instead, but even then he begged her to run away, up until he passed out from blood loss. She fell in love with this man and decided that Kilereth was too chaotic for a man as pure-hearted as Yoldis. So they moved to The Aberdeen Empire, where she quickly found The Guards Guild which matched her ideals perfectly, and joined immediately. It was then that she found out that Yoldis is actually from Aberdeen, a fact he surprisingly kept secret this whole time. Yoldis came from the family of Gheshin, a long line of gem Dragonborn who have served in The Guards Guild since its inception. He was the black sheep of the family. He had the heart and mind of a noble knight, but the body of a scholar. This was why he decided to go on a soul-searching journey at such a young age and see if he could make a name for himself outside of his family's shadow. When Jopora married into the Gheshin family she more closely resembled the rest of them, in terms of physique, and Yoldis's family began to respect him a bit more because of her. She quickly climbed up the ranks of The Guards Guild eventually becoming the Captain of the Bodyguard Division. During that time she had 3 children, two sons, and one daughter. Unfortunately one of her sons and her daughter clearly inherited the physique of their father, both being Crystal Dragonborn. She tried to raise them to become political leaders, as best she could, to avoid the same tragic upbringing of Yoldis. Her middle child, Bharashar, however, took to her genetics as a Red Dragonborn as well as her physique. She trained him to become a Guardsman from the moment he could hold a wooden sword. She has always been strict with Bharashar because she knows he can become something truly great. Not only did he take after Jopora physically, but his heart and mind were that of Yoldis. She believes that Bharashar can become something even greater than Captain of a Division, and use the pure drive from his father for the greater good. Though she has never voiced this opinion to anyone other than Yoldis.

Jopora was born a female and identifies as a woman. But, her body is large, muscular, & wide, and her breasts are flat. She also tends to wear armor and has a very serious demeanor and deep voice. This has caused much confusion throughout her life regarding her gender. However, she never corrects anyone who misgenders her, since it just adds to warding off potential threats if she is viewed as an intimidating man instead of a petite woman. One person who has never misgendered her, is Yoldis Gheshin, her husband. Upon first seeing her in the woods, about to be attacked by a saber-tooth tiger, he shouted "Look out, young lady! I will protect you from this beast! Now run, I've got this handled!", which he did not have it handled. After Jopora rescued her rescuer, he awoke in her arms saying, "Ah. It seems you were capable of saving yourself just fine. Beautiful and strong, huh? How unfair, haha!"

Despite people's assumptions, Jopora is straight (attracted to males). Her preference is Dragonborn, though their type doesn't really matter.

She has received informal education later in life after she moved to Aberdeen. She learned from her fellow Guardsman how to properly read and write since you need to do so as a Captain. She also learned about history, since it helps to understand the noble families she is sworn to protect. Since Aberdeen has many libraries and scholars, and her husband is naturally gifted in academic pursuits, she tries to learn something new every day and spends much of her free time reading.

She is employed by The Guards Guild which is an Empire Sanctioned Guild. Essentially making her a government employee.
