    Duskfall
    Disaster / Destruction

The kingdom of Dusk fell to a sudden unexpected undead threat-- an army of undead warriors, displayign rare intelligence and led by a terrifying figure known as the Cursed Lord-- systematically destroyed the kingdom of Dusk. The Sun-king Erasmus fell in defense of his capital, Sunset. Most of the surviving population fled into surrounding nations as refugees. The Cursed Lord was defeated, unbeknownst to many, by a party of adventurers who halted his advance just before he was poised to strike over the mountains into neighbouring kingdoms. In the aftermath, the kingdom of Dusk remains occupied by a now leaderless army of undead.

    Ancient Soldiers
    Expedition

Times are tense around Suncrest, but the conflict with Avilet & Stonewatch is in early days-- no reports of massive open hostilities yet. Constantine, Morthos, Adris, and Glyth, meet Stormchaser-- a newly arrived traveller with magical abilities who meets and joins through Morthos. The party find out from Sage that the Wardens are helping the Citadel out by taking up certain low-priority jobs that might normally fall to the Watch or the Rangers. This time, a “shining” figure was seen entering a cave and the nearby farmers were worried about it. When they arrive at the cave, they find Smithy in a deactivated state. Once refueled with magical energy, they awaken and join the party to investigate the forgotten ruins inside the cave, fighting some lich hounds and imperial ghouls within.

    Expedition

The Wardens-- Thessalia, Gringnir, Morthos, Reginald, and Glyth-- head back to the Watching Tower to deliver the ring of wish to Centurion Draeven. Along the way, they encounter the Orange Mountain Children orc Tenguriin, who helps them fight a small, elite force of Aviletians testing some new weapons-- powered, magitek armor and spells that kill living beings and encase them in bloodcrystal, a new form of necromancy. The party then goes to the Watching Tower, where Thessalia uses the ring's magic to cure Ariadne Draeven, and they are paid 100,000 GP and a bag of holding. Additionally, Draeven promises his aid if ever they should need it.

    The Sunset Gates
    Military action

A party of high-level adventurers is contacted by the Riftwalkers, notably Lander and Lady Whisper, and asked to fly to Sunset, former capital of Dusk, and shut down three portals that have opened there, allowing fiends to pour forth into the material realm. They travel to Sunset, defeat many powerful foes and close three planar gateways, including one anchored in the Abyss itself.
At the third gateway, the party refuse a deal with the archdevil Hutijin, but in the process allow him access to a powerful soulstone. Only the intervention of a powerful celestial, Calisto, prevents catastrophe.
