Sky Giants

Sky Giants, sometimes called Cloud Giants or Storm Giants, are one of the five subspecies of True Giants, named for their penchant for living on high mountains and clouds, and for their elemental affinity for air.

Sky Giants are very free spirited and joyful, though they can seem incredibly aloof and temperamental to outsiders, with destructive tempers. Sky Giants preferring to interact only with their own kind, and showing little concern for the plights of others outside of their amusement. They rarely interact with other species outside of trade.

Sky Giants live in large social groups, located in grand palaces built on the peaks of the tallest mountains or high in the sky, built on the tops of clouds. They rarely have a designated leader, with their hierarchy built around social standing, with the most popular and charismatic Giants having the most influence. They enjoy showing off their wealth, throwing grand parties, and giving extravagant gifts, being well liked by others and having many friends is incredibly important to their social standing.

Sky Giants are known to be inveterate gamblers with a hunger for high risks and high rewards, they are even known to make bets on the happenings of the world below them.

Sky Giants are also known to be avid spellcasters, capable of both Primal and Arcane spellcasting. Though their magic is almost exclusively used for amusement and spectacle, as Sky Giants rarely find themselves in combat.

If a Sky Giants finds themselves caught in conflict, they will almost never fight alone, calling on their friends and allies to aid them, whose combined wrath can be incredibly destructive. Though, Sky Giants look down on combat, seeing it as primitive, so a Sky Giant will almost never pick a fight if it will make them look bad to their peers.

Appearance

Sky Giants are commonly tall and lithe in build when they are young, with the most affluent being large and plump, which is seen as an attractive quality. Sky Giants stand around 25 feet tall, their skin ranges in tones of light grey and blue, and their eyes tend to be pure white or electric blue. 

Sky Giants tend to have long luscious hair, in tones of grey and white, almost resembling clouds. Males of the species also possess large, cloud-like beards.

Sky Giants dress lavishly, in beautiful flowing robes, dresses and cloaks, all covered in complex embroidery and patterns. They are almost always clean and spotless, and enjoy wearing a mix of available colours. Sky Giants also love to adorn themselves with copious amounts of jewelry, from precious metals to gems, and elaborate diadems and crowns.
