The Loas of Fate

The Loa Spirits of Fate call upon people from what simply is referred to as "the other side". Though what originally was believed to be nothing but stories, sleight of hand and pompous belief, The Loa Spirits has finally after many years become common knowledge to the three islands of Eastrix. They hand pacts and deal with promises of powers such as foresight or physical strength but at what cost? Though the Loa are thought to be quite trustworthy due to the generally widespread knowledge that they pass on mutually benefiting agreements, they are also believed to be the types of spirits to take things from you that will haunt you forever.

Up until now there have only been 4 known Loas. These Loas have been known as The 4 Loas Of Fate. These Loas are Bawon; The Socialite, Cimetière; The Gravekeeper, Baron La Croix; The Money Hoaxster and Kriminel; The Prospector. Each Loa have been said to have been a domain of life, that somehow have an impact on the life around each and every one of us. If you were to strike a bargain with the Loas you could call upon them to grant you power, bending the Winds of Circumstance to becoming a favourable outcome.

Mystical Origins

No one can really set a specific place or time of origin for the Loa. Nor can anyone really set a specific home plane of existence for them. In reality, nothing is really known for sure about the Loa, there's mostly theories and speculation about what they are, and why they are so keen on interacting with the material plane. Though some have compared them to be powerful types of liches, due to them having the body of a humanoid, and also being completely ageless and neither alive nor dead. Through the luck, belief and power of the Loas have certainly had the ability to sway the fortune in their believer's favour. The best-educated guess there has been of the origins of the Loas has been that they are powerful ethereal entities that have gained access to the material plane and regularly travel back and forth, and use their powers to influence and sometimes interfere in the material planes matters.

The Four Loas

There are a total of four Loa spirits who collectively command different parts of fate and circumstance. These spirits seemingly have all taken the form of humanoid spirits with very distinct and at times over-exaggerated features. Some Loas has been described as rotund and fat whilst others have been described as a "match stick" man. One thing they all have in common is their uniquely charismatic personality that screams out whatever providence of fate and circumstance they might encumber. The following be a table of the Loa spirit that covers their alignment, providence, name and a suggestion as to what domain and symbol they might have as well.

Table of Loas

Loa Alignment Province Domains Symbol
Bawon the Merrymaker Lawful Good Festivities, Enjoyment Life A cocktail cherry, with a sharp bone stuck into it.
Cimetière, the Undertaker Chaotic Neutral Passings, Travel Grave A glencairn glass filed with ashes and a tiny oar to stur.
Kriminel, the Anarchist Chaotic Evil Freedom, Death Death A torn shovel of wood half dug into the ground.
Baron La Croix, the Bookkeeper True Neutral Savings, Treassure Knowledge A shined gold coin, sticking out from a purse.

A quote on the Loas of Fate from Garry Berry Hart, a world-renowned tourist guide: "Oh boy, the Loas...they are the most mysterious creature I have ever met, only beat by my ex-wife!"

Acquainted

The Elegant Gate does see not see anything bad nor god in the Loas of Fate, however, the Loas of Fate does think the Elegant Gate, in general, is a very boring pantheon.

Anger

The gods of the Frystikir and The Loas of Fate have been told to often fight due to their directly opposite ways of life. However, nothing has YET to turn violent.
