Thandalor Shadoweave (Fan-da-lore)

Thandalor Shadoweave is one of the most powerful wizards that you will find in Eastrix. His life is a story of hard work and achievement leading to corruption at the hands of the Talaran Councils politics and mind games. He was born in the year of 482 BtS and has lived for what many Talarans is many years. An elf does not often exceed the average age of 700 but Thandalor has. His vigour and vitality, is what he claims, a result of hard labour and dedication to his empire and personal life. Thandalors life can be parted into 3 major parts, where he has had distinct characteristics: the Trainee, the Enchanter and the Family Man.

This part of his life includes the early formative years of his life. During this early part of his life, Thandalor developed as an elf, and at the same time as a wizard. At home he was not exactly "popular", he has always been the little splice who could not do anything so having a friend in this world meant more than anything to him. He is extremely adept at magic precisely because he was alone most of his youth. His mother worked at a foster home where children who had been left behind were sent to, so she essentially bore the mother of 6 other children who also demanded love and Thandalor's father was the logistical organizer of the harbour in Deliverance, which at the time was being put to use as an immigration port in Talara. He has never condemned his parents for leaving him, they had their job and work to be able to support him who went home and educated himself. However one can learn oneself so much. His magic expertise picked up when he was put into training with Qaulen Wyrmtail. Qaulen learned Shadoweave to harness his ambition as a conduit for his arcanum and how to channel and empower your arcanum with the primordial powers. Through Qaulens tough training, which included a lot of physical harm, Thandalor became an incredible magician but he especially showed talents within the new field of enchantment. Through this tough training at the young age of 110 Thandalor was crowned as the first-ever Black Talaran Magister in year 372 BtS. This was where he entered a new part of his life.

This part of Thandalors life includes the years in which he rose to power, becoming the first-ever magister, high magister, Emporer and finally a member of the Council of Arcanum. The life of the Enchanter version of Thandalor starts off with his crowning to becoming a Magister. Here he enters the big political landscape that is the mageocratic Talaran Council. Here Thandalor starts off as a part of the Talaran Magi Council. The Talaran Magi Council is a Council in which all higher practitioners of magic collective decided the future of magic in the then Kingdom of Talara. Here the way to raise up in rank in the council is via the Test of Magic Vitality, which happens annually the day before Winter's Mass. In the record time of 8 years, Thandalor climbed to the top of the Talaran Magi Council using his affinity for the magic discipline of enchantment. It's through his undying workaholic dedication, hard work and some say enchantment, that he debates his way to the very top of the Talaran Council, The High Council of Talara. in the High Council of Talara only a few selected few sit and discuss the future of the entirety of Talara with the present leader of the country. Back then King Tsrindir was the leader of the country, so many thought that there would be many tensions between one of the Black Talarans and King Tsrindir as the king had shown that he was not fond of Black Talarans. However, Thandalor took it in stride and simply perfected his magics and always advised the king to remember the great of Azymondias, magic. It was during his time as High Magister that Thandalor eventually at one point was asked to participate in an attempt to create a new spell. This attempt was the first-ever attempt at casting a 9th level spell and Thandalor gladly accept and went to participate in the experiment with King Tsrindirs blessing. In the year of 369 BtS, a miracle happened and Thandalor was a part of it. With this spell cast, Thandalor also became part of the Council of Arcanum, as both a representative for Talara and Enchantment. As time went on, King Tsrindir fell ill and governmental change was ordered. An election was to be held and Thandalor wanted to be a part of it. A political campaign ensued that tested the patience and willpower of Thandalor to its very limits. At home his father and mother worried for him, his stress was outwardly visible. However through his endurance, the first-ever talaran election is held, where Emperor Thandalor Shadoweave is elected as the new emperor of Talara. This ends his life as the enchanter and he now arrives in a long period of development that eventually takes a sprint when he meets Aowynn Lorana.

Thandalor has in recent years, recent elf years that is, chosen to marry a woman by the name of Aowynn Lorana after a long period of both dating and secret meetings. Many thought that the Emporer had chosen a life of abstinence or simply weren't interested in relations with anyone since he up until 200 years ago had not even been seen with a significant other. However, 200 years ago was when love struck the Dark Emporer and it struck hard. Thandalor Shadoweave is hopelessly in love with his wife still, and even after 200 years of knowing each other it still feels to him as if they have just met each other for the first time. Even though there is this intense love between them, they do not have any biological children as Thandalor is sterile. Many years ago, the former king of Talara, King Tsrindir, chose that all black newborn elves in the Kingdom of Talara must be sterilized so that they could not spread their bad genes. He is therefore also extremely happy for his and his wifes adopted child, Andred, since Andred is most likely the only child he will ever be able to have. Even though Andred has been alive for a little over a decade now, Thandalor still treats him like his little baby boy.
