Kavikalian Wings
On the Isle Kavikali of the Skinori dimos of Kaisadroupolis, a pair of bronze wings burst from the stony ground and splay out across the water. At 37 meters tall, the Kavikalian Wings dominate the view from the eastern coast of Kaisadroupolis, an icon of the city's skyline.
Built to commemorate the end of the War of the Lion and the founding of the Republic of Kaisa, the twin wings have stood for more than two centuries. Once resplendant in the sun, oxidization has turned the metal a dull green-brown, and half of the northern wing was destroyed by a misfired shell during the Revolution of 1333.
Nevertheless, the wings are a symbol of the indomitable spirit of the people of Kaisa.
