Jónás Laski
Jónás Laski is a Kaisan lawyer, municipal politician, and national-federalist political activist. He founded the United Peasants, an organization dedicated to combating the specter of radicalism that many smallholders and traditionalist peasants feared would usher in collectivization.
Born to a landowning family in the Cleutaran Plateau, Jónás spent several years as an officer in the Kaisan Army. After the end of his service, he studied law at the University of Chypos. With degree in hand, he returned to his home, where he practiced law for about a decade. Following the 1333 Revolution and the following republican reforms, he ran for municipal office. He has been a popular political figure in the region since, due to his advocacy for agricultural tax breaks and subsidies.
