Renown Press Release
Renown: The Card Game Launches Soon on Kickstarter
Original fantasy card game from Stonehome Games featuring 155 illustrated cards. Aberdeen, Washington — 2025 — World Anvil Worldbuilding Award winners Stonehome Games have worked with thirteen independent artists to launch their debut original card game, Renown, a competitive, fantasy-themed game of quests, catastrophes, and strategic decision-making. The Kickstarter campaign runs later this year and is now available for preview. In Renown, players take on the role of a unique character, establishing locations, recruiting followers, and navigating dangerous quests to rise to power, or infamy. Inspired by games like Magic: The Gathering Commander, Lords of Waterdeep, and Dominion, the game features 12 personalities, 125 US poker-sized cards, 30 quest cards, and a starting location card printed at 3.5 x 5.5 inches. The game is already complete and available for play on Tabletop Simulator via Steam. “I'm literally the ‘if your local band sucks, I will tell you’ kinda person. You make good stuff!”
