Hol'dyn - Jani Revolution

After several unsuccessful attempts to enact change within Hol'dyn Space , Babs attempted to enact a civil protest that got cosmically out of hand and ended up in what can reasonably be called a revolutionary-conflict. After deadly escalations on both sides, a truce was formed and Barbara and her people left Hol'dyn Space on a truce and with resources and a plan to establish their own which became NuJania.

The Conflict

Prelude

After there was a significant book-burning in the awake realms, many diaspora of the Jani as well as other cultures attempted to take to the dreamrealms to try to find and contact their elders and re-preserve their cultures but due to Hol'dyn Space's policy of not letting in dreamers that have bodies and a foot in the real world to enter the settlement, the cultures and the ancestors who could help them remained un contacted. One summer's evening the situation was recounted to Babs who found herself infuriated by what was a preventable act, and thus she wrote up Pamphlet of Peace, a document designed to sway the Hol'dyn City Council into siding with her and creating an embassy or a place in which the ancestors of these ancient cultures could contact their descendents safely. The Pamphlet of Peace was not giving proper precedent and thrown out without the proper motions of justice which seemed to anger Babs and her sympathisers more.

Historical Significance

Legacy

The Hol'dyn - Jani revolution led to the creation of NuJania, where Barbara and those who sympathized with her could live and her manifesto became a foundational document within in the settlement. Barbara used her resources and new seat as the leader of NuJania to begin her cultural library and documentation. She reached out to other dominant but ancient cultures to collaborate with her, and together they made a touchstone that anybody who wanted to view or contact their ancestor's cultures.
