Duchy of Karlsvogur
A Farmer's Paradise
The previous duchess recently passed away from old age, so now the new duke is Rothergard of Karlsvogur, given the nickname of The Frostbite Duke. Karlsvogur contains the Plains of a Hundred Lakes, the southern part of the Plains of Hope, South Cintesia, the Desolate Foothills and their respective mountain range of the Grenmarrs, and basically everything in the south up to the outpost of Lenlyr. The keep of the Southern March is also located here. It's mostly flat open grassland filled with the occasional hamlet or other small farming community and some ruins. Actually, on the topic of ruins, there's a huge amount of them, especially from the ancient Ashlian human tribes. No matter how old, there's treasure to be had there. As for the town itself, it's quite large, highly walled, and some might even call it a city. Karlsvogur's population is largely made up of farmers, ranchers, carpenters, and leatherworkers. There are plenty of agricultural workers just outside the walls who contribute to most of the kingdom's food supply, which most traders distribute to the provinces that need it most.
