Darkguard

The continent of Iterron is one of swords and sorcery, where the flames of civilization must hide behind the city walls to be safe from the dark that is the wilderness. It is a world full of monsters, where folk risking their lives for supposed wealth, or so called "adventurers," do the dirty work of slaying this world's atrocities. From the very beginning of the humanity's existence, the gods and their followers have been in a feud, not even minding the Old Gods that came before them. The people are losing their hope as a war between the nations is brewing and a mysterious new faction plots to destroy an ancient artifact. The Ashlian government and religion can't keep the evil away. But you might as well profit from it, right?    The inhabitants of the world are inspired by Scandinavian and Slavic folklore, with some liberties taken to make things more cohesive and interesting.
