Dunleid Deepwood
Geography
The bulk of the Dunleid Deepood is occupied by a great many trees that fill nearly every nook and cranny of the slight hills of southern Cinder's Hope. Many of these trees are Dunleid Greatoak which create thick canopies, obscuring the sunlight from the forest floor. By the ocean, the Dunleid Deepwood breaks off into massive crags and cliffs cascading steeply towards the waters below. The soil of Southern Cinder's Hope is extremely virile partially due to the abundance of underground waterways that deposit flesh nutrients in large amounts. It is for this reason that any cave exploration be met with the expecation of large bodies of water.
Ecosystem
The deep wood contains myriad species of large herbivorous creatures as well as its share of predatory and omnivorous wildlife. This is only bolstered by the higher-than-normal presence of monsters and aberrations that make wandering through the Deepwood a harrowing task even for experienced pioneers.
