Uroos
Basic Information
Anatomy
The anatomy of the Uroos is most similar to the common wolverine, having the same fur patterns and general anatomy with some notable exceptions. For one, two fleshy horns point upwards from their nose. Secondly, Uroos are known to grow to massive sizes, often having lengths of up to 10 feet and heights of 8 feet. The legs and arms of an Uroos are well suited to crawling on all fours and extremely powerful, the strongest of Uroos are known to be able to lift upwards of 4 tons.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Uroos are omnivors that gorge themselves on any or most edible things. They are especially fond of sweets and younger Uroos are known to raid the unsecured pantries of bakeries should they get the oppurtunity. While Uroos are skilled foragers and will often hunt and gather their own food when given the oppurtonity it is important to occasionally treat your Uroos to remind them that you care... and also to protect your unsecured rations from filling the belly of a hungry mount.
Behaviour
Despite their size and ferocity as predators, Uroos are known to be wary and even docile of humans, often steering clear of settlements. However, once fed, Uroos are often protective of food sources and will often return with other Uroos should feeding be consitent and palletable. While not very good problem solvers, Uroos do have some social intellegence and thus can be trained as mounts to follow simple commands.
Additional Information
Domestication
Uroos are often kept as pets and trained as mounts. They are extremely quick in forests but perform poorly within the deserts.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Uroos have an incredible sense of smell and can often detect things of interest for weeks after a subject left an area. Since everything is a potential food source, Uroos often get overwhelemed when large quantaties of different goods are in an area, so much so, that as part of their tack Uroos are often fitted for a nose blinder that partially plugs their nostrils to 'deafen' their olfactory senses.
