Titans
'Titan' is the title given to the original creator-deities which emerged from the void and constructed the Earth and the other planes of existence. Titans are figures of veneration and worship by most civilisations across the face of the world.
The saviour-titans reside (at least in part) on the Celestial Plane beyond the protective barrier of the Aether, which protects them against Typhon's energy. The other surviving titans reside on the Earth (Prime Material Plane).
Both titans and gods are divine beings with tremendous power. The central difference between them is that, while gods have enormous power in the world, titans in a very real way are part of the form and operation of the universe: their power underlies both the physical form and natural laws of the universe.
There were originally six, whose elven names are given below:
Hera, the Celestial Empress (whose power underlies the regular and orderly passage of time, heavenly bodies and the laws of nature)
Hestia, the Gentle Lifegiver (whose power underlies birth and life of mortal races and other animals, as well as the beneficial power of fire)
Demeter, the Bountiful Earth (whose power underlies the growth and produce of crops and plant life, and the riches of the earth)
Poseidon, the Storm Breaker (whose power underlies seas and oceans, storms and earthquakes, and the creatures that live there)
Hades Zagreus, the Shadow Abyss (whose body forms the physical structure of the underworld and whose power underlies the process of death and the siphoning of dangerous energies from the Earth)
The Thunder Tyrant (the banished titan whose name has been forgotten)
In addition, one other being is sometimes added to the list of titans:
Typhon, the Corrupting Annihilator (whose essence begets fiends and other monstrous creatures and forms the wild magic harnessed by non-divine spellcasters)
