Calibridge Family

Public Agenda

  • To present themselves as loyal vassals of the Grand Duchy of Tacia and defenders of Eternal Harmony.
  • To preserve their wealth, titles, and reputation at all costs.
  • To bury the truth of the Bloody Chapel and the illegitimate line that followed, ensuring their noble legacy remains unchallenged.

Assets

Calibridge Citadel: The family’s ancestral stronghold, seat of power, and site of the infamous massacre.

Lands & Tenants: Fertile farmland and several villages.

Wealth: Accumulated through centuries of trade, taxes, and careful political marriages.

Influence: Strong ties to Tacia’s nobility, though their relationship with the Vatican is strained.

History

913 AR: The Calibridge line begins with Sir Aedric Calibridge, a knight rewarded with land for his valor during Tacia's civil war.

13th–15th centuries AR: The family consolidates power, builds Calibridge Citadel, and becomes prominent patrons of Eternal Harmony.

1611 AR: The Bloody Chapel Incident devastates the family. Teige slaughters his kin, including Thaddeus, staining the family name. The chapel remains desecrated.

Post-1611 AR: Rumors of an illegitimate heir — Thaddeus’s son, born in secret — spread. He claims part of the inheritance through vengeance and blood, intertwining the “legitimate” and “shadow” lines. This secret endures, whispered among servants and rivals.

1700s–1800s AR: The Calibridges maintain outward respectability but suffer repeated scandals, feuds, and whispered hauntings tied to their ancestral curse.

Present Day: Victor Calibridge rules as patriarch. Charismatic and outwardly loyal to Eternal Harmony, he hides his desperation to conceal the truth of his bloodline and the family’s violent past.

I'm not sure how much I should say here. This is another family we're talking about. I don't agree with what has happened in their family line or the cover up. But who am I to say what's right and wrong for a family? My family line isn't perfect. Besides how much of this family history real and how much of it is fictionalized for the sake of entertainment.
