The Council of Magic
The secretive council of wizards who debate and decide magical policy and influence across Human Kingdom. The head of each school has a seat at the table and the elected leader is also granted the position of magical advisor to the monarch.
The Head of the Council
A position, once elected, held for a term of five years. Historically, an encumbent was granted a maximum of two leadership terms before being compelled to stand down. However, the current leader, The King’s Advisor, has proved so popular in the role that the rules have been re-written to allow for an indefinite number of terms in office. This is considered an even more impressive as until now a Sorcerer has never held the position of council leader and advisor to a monarch. Sorcery has always been seen as inferior to other wizarding schools as it's innate nature is viewed as impure by traditional magic users. The School of Abjuration
