Elves
Elves are the most long lived races on Berinen, with 800 being considered a good, long life. They are split into two distinct sub-races, the High Elves and the Wood Elves, and while all elves coexist they have very different goals that drive them.
High Elves
The High Elves are the insular, and learned masters of magic. Usually fair of skin and hair they are considered the wisest of the species. They have made their home in Elvanondar, the Elven capital and seat of their power. It is here that Queen Aylannah holds court and council.Wood Elves
The more curious and spiritual cousins of the High Elves, the Wood Elves prefer to wander and make thier homes in the wider Mistwoods of Doranel. They have a notional capital city in Nimalien which is as much a temple for the many Wood Elf druids - who prefer the magic of nature itself to the written words of spells and libraries.
