Battle of the White Cliffs

Summary

  At 17:08 hours, during the ground assault on the Holy Peninsula, Coalition forces deployed an unknown Sibillian weapon that suppressed all Crai’Gai within a 3-league radius. Lady Sellina Mordos, commander of the vanguard, was at the epicenter of this effect.   Rather than retreat, Lady Sellina led a direct assault through enemy lines, personally destroying the device and restoring full strength to her and her officers.   Casualty reports confirm over 78,000 enemy combatants neutralized by Lady Sellina’s hand during this engagement.

  (Recorded from surviving Juggernaut Sergeant Verraz Horren Vinnasus)   “I saw Lady Sellina get down on one knee and I thought - those bastards! How dare they make our Lady Sellina kneel??? All of our brothers in the Black Rose raged like wildfire and charged to meet the enemy head on. They would have never had the chance to look at her Lady's magnificence.”   “And then… she smiled.”  

Battlefield Transcript (Reconstructed)

  The Sibillian weapon hums, draining the air of all warmth and power. Sellina falls to one knee, panting. Her white Crai’Gai shrinks to a flicker, barely visible.   Sibillian War Priest: “Behold! The goddess is brought low!”   Sellina (growling, rising to her feet): “You dare… take my strength? YOU DARE TOUCH MY FATHER'S BLOOD ???"   Her swords ignite white-hot in her hands, not with aura but sheer friction as she moves.   Sellina:   “I do not need power to kill you. I A M P O W E R!”   And then she moves. But they do not see. For they are already dead.   Not with the blinding radiance she is known for — but with something colder, sharper, wild and feral. Each step cracks stone. Each swing of her blades leaves a wake of blood and screams. And swing she does, swings tear flesh from bone, skin from faces, bones crunch, blood squirts.     "HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA YOU THINK I NEED MY CRAI'GAI TO SLAY YOU??????"   Coalition troops surge forward and are cut down in waves — hundreds at a time. Their bullets hit her, their spells explode against her chest and skin, yet she smiles and grunts, continuing her onslaught. How does she still stand ? What is she ? She was supposed to be weaker and an easy pick ??   As the battle drags on, her aura begins to flicker back to life, feeding on her rage. By the time she reaches the crystal weapon, her Crai’Gai burns white again — not as a gentle glow, but a roaring inferno that blinds the enemy. You can feel the hot temperature begin to melt away the flesh of the living and the dead around her. Her eyes are burning with white hatred for everything that moves in front of her.   Sellina (to the priests): “PRAY TO YOUR GODS!!"   Her twin swords strike in an X, cleaving the crystal in two.   The suppression field shatters with a thunderous shockwave that sends bodies flying and shatters the earth for miles around.   When the dust clears, Sellina stands at the epicenter, her white Crai’Gai blazing like a sun, her silhouette a storm given form. "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH"   Sellina (bellowing): “KILL THEM ALL!! VOR ASIENDALISSSS”   The Juggernauts return the warcry with all of their might, shooting their steam rifles, turning the battlefield into a blazing inferno with their flame throwers. All shall burn.  

Aftermath

  Suppression Weapon Neutralized. All Asiendalian forces in the region report full Crai’Gai restoration.   Morale Surge: Witnessing Sellina’s rampage caused an immediate spike in soldier morale. Juggernaut Legion reports combat effectiveness doubled in the hours following.   Enemy Casualties: Approximately 170,000 confirmed dead or routed in less than four hours. The Coalition’s 44th and 655th divisions are considered combat ineffective.
