Overview

The island’s proximity to the World Whirlpool, known as Kroehnkarrantt, influences its weather patterns and maritime conditions, making navigation around the island challenging yet rewarding for those skilled in seafaring.   The island is divided into several regions:   Hinomori: The capital city, located in the central plains, is a cultural and political hub where the Shogun’s palace and the main trade markets are found.   Mount Kurogane: A mountain range rich in iron and other minerals, crucial for the island’s economy.   Seiren Bay: A sheltered bay that serves as the island’s main port, known for its shipbuilding and fishing industries.   Tsuyama Forest: A dense forest that covers much of the island, home to ancient temples and a source of timber and medicinal herbs.

The Hoshinori people have developed industries around these resources, which they export to the mainland.   Key Resources:   Kurogane Iron: The island’s mountain range, Mount Kurogane, is rich in a unique, high-quality iron ore known as Kurogane Iron. This iron is known for its durability and is highly sought after for weapon and armor production, both on the island and in the mainland.   Sapphiresteel: A rare alloy created by combining Kurogane Iron with magical sapphires found in the island’s rivers. This metal is known for its strength and magical conductivity, making it essential for crafting high-end magitech devices and enchanted weapons.   Seiren Timber: The Tsuyama Forest provides Seiren Timber, a type of wood that is both strong and flexible, ideal for shipbuilding and construction.
