Tourism. Major employers in the province are Puleva, a dairy company, and Coviran, a chain of supermarkets. The University of Granada is one of the largest in Spain, providing employment and demand for rental property. Fishing and agriculture are also major economic contributors, but have seen a downturn in recent years. The Granada Health Science Technological Park has created some high-skilled jobs in the biotechnology sector.
